SHEEEEEE'S BACK!

1981
The Grammy Awards: Donna presents.
Donna fresh from child birth looks a little "off", but wore a killer outfit!
She is so moved by Patti LuPone's performance of Don't Cry For Me Argentina, She must record it herself!
I"M A RAINBOW album: never to be heard?

Rolling Stone March 19, 1981
The Tom Snyder Show: Donna sings Cold Love, The Wanderer, On the Radio
Interview topics: Marriage, Baby, Drag Queen Rumour "My Mother Loved that one", Religion "I never stopped my faith, I just chose to walk closer with God", New tour "I'm just gonna do Donna Summer"
Wierd Story: This night, I did what i did most nights......listen to music or TV and draw. I always made at least one Donna picture. This night I drew Donna, with bangs, hair pulled back into a pony tail, but the sides were just hanging on the sides of her face. I went to bed....kinda dosed off, but woke up and could not get back to sleep. So, I turned on the TV and Donna was right in the middle of Cold Love! And she had her hair just as I had drawn it! (she had a braid)
The 1981 Tour: Last dance for 'LTLYB'?
Well, September 11, 1981 marks my 21st Birthday.
I had just seen Donna on the Snyder Show. My Mom asked me what I wanted for my Birthday and she knew Donna was gonna play Las Vegas. I didn't dare ask, so she suggested we go! Yipeeeeee! My mom is the best! So, Mom, my cousin Rachel and my brother, Richard (who was just 17 at the time)and I hit the road. Donna was playing at The MGM Grand Hotel (now it's Bally's).
It was kind of wierd.....there seemed to be no promotion going on....well I mean, all the ad pics wer the un-re-touch OUAT photo in black & white and flipped.
I guess David Geffen was not into this tour(?).
This was the Table display...

Playlist:
Dim all the lights-Love to love you baby/I feel love-On the radio-Don't cry for me Argentina-Cold love-The way we were (with medley from 79)-Bad Girls-Hot stuff-I believe in Jesus-Heaven knows-Last Dance-Mac Arthur Park.
Love to Love You Baby was reduced to nothing more than an intro to IFL.
Donna did look great!
A nice new dress for the opening (white, big padded shoulders and a mini skirt) and she also wore The Wanderer outfit, and strange enough the blue & pink jumpsuit from the L&M concerts. (also worn to the 1980 Grammy's, the Tom Snyder Show).
And....She played guitar on Cold Love......it was kina strange IMO.
I think this background pic is what would have been on the I'm A Rainbow Cover.....It's really the only pics of Donna I know of from 1981.......(I'll get back to you on that)
